DEVIZES A.A. JUNIORS

16 junior members turned out to fish round 1 of the Millennium Cup at Crookwood Lake on Saturday morning.
Ben Lomas-Milne on peg 50 hooked and landed a good Tench within seconds of the final whistle, to seal overall victory and maximum points.
Ben used Long Pole to weigh an 8lb mixed bag of Tench, Roach, Rudd, Goldfish and Crucian Carp.
Paul Williamson on peg 53, also using Long Pole, took second place with a 7lb 14oz   mixed bag of Tench, Skimmer Bream, Rudd, Goldfish and Perch.
Third place was Aaron Rowles on peg 41 with 6lb 11oz.
Fourth was Angus Webster on peg 36 with 6lb 9oz.

Gazette Cup, Crookwood Lake Sat 5^th July 2003.
16 junior anglers turned out to compete for the Gazette cup.
The three-hour match starting at 9.45 am fished well with plenty of small fish showing on all pegs.
Archie Webster (Devizes) on peg 38 showed good skills to weigh in a mixed bag of Crucian Carp, Goldfish, Rudd, Roach and Perch , winning the match with 9lb-11oz.
Archie was using a 3 metre Whip and fishing red maggot over ground bait, catching close in near the margins.
Aaron Rowles (Devizes) took second place with a 9lb – 0oz. Aaron was using a Pole, fishing maggot over ground bait, close to the margins.
Jamie Rowles (Devizes) took third place with 7lb-14oz.

15 junior anglers turned out on this hot summers evening to enjoy some excellent fishing, during the three hour evening match, fished from 6pm to 9pm at Crookwood lake.
Matt pearce soon got to grips with the feeding Tench winning the match with 6 Tench plus Rudd and Goldfish to weigh in at 16lb-3oz. Matt was using pole at 4 metres,  fishing with maggot and corn over a bed of ground bait.
Second place was Archie Webster weighing in a 13lb-3oz mixed bag of Tench, Goldfish and Rudd.
Archie was using a 4 metre whip and fishing maggot over ground bait close in the near margins.
Third place was Paul Williamson with 8lb- 10oz of Tench, Rudd and Goldfish.
